Preview the 2019 Snaggy Ridge 105 course over a 2 day Weekend Excursion including Fun, Gravel, and Camping at Cedar Valley Park near Tipton, IA.
Saturday's ride will be a 55 mile course covering the northwest portion of the Snaggy Ridge 105. Sunday's ride is a 51 mile route covering the Southeast portion of the course, including a stop through the town of Tipton. Both rides will start and end at Cedar Valley Park. Both rides will be welcoming for all types of riders, with designated ride leaders, sweepers, and minor support.
We will have a big block of campsites reserved and for those wanting to camp, a $7 fee will be collected on Saturday evening by the Cedar County Conservation Board.
Riders are welcome to ride this event any way they choose. Feel free to bikepack the whole event! Ride out, camp, do the rides, and ride back. Drive out and just ride on Saturday. Drive out and just ride on Sunday, Drive out, ride Saturday, camp, Ride Sunday, and Drive home. Pick any combination that works for you!
SATURDAY - Ride departs from Cedar Valley Park at 1PM SHARP
Riders should plan to arrive back at the campground by at least 8PM, if you do not think you can complete the 55 mile route in 7 hours or less, please make arrangements accordingly.
SUNDAY - Ride departs from Cedar Valley Park at 9AM SHARP
Riders should plan to arrive back at the campground by at least 4PM. If you do not think you can complete the 51 mile route in 7 hours or less, please make arrangements accordingly.
We will provide a sag stop on both days at around the halfway point. The sag stop will be stationed long enough to allow for a minimum 8mph pace rider to make it to the stop before they pack up. Water and other beverages will be available at the stop along with drop bags riders can provide before departing for each ride. Riders will be responsible for their own food, supplies, and tools for the drop bags/sag stop.
