Get to know the Komodo over coffee...

We're looking toward good weather with two brand-new models here at Sugar Bottom Bikes. What's better than free coffee on Saturdays? Free coffee and the opportunity to take out our newest and shiniest bikes.

The Jamis Nova Pro has a longstanding tradition of cyclocross prowess combined with the sturdiness necessary for a great gravel bike. Its aluminum frame has a convenient shouldering indention, and externally routed cables make on-the-fly repairs simple. The Nova Pro also has through-axles, for additional steering stiffness, and runs a bomb proof Sram Apex 1x11 drivetrain with hydraulic disc brakes (160 mm rotors!) Finished with tubeless ready Alex wheels, the Nova Pro is a great all-around ride!

The other newcomer on the floor is the 2017 Jamis Komodo Sport. A lightweight alloy 27.5+ bike, the Komodo is Jamis's foray into the entry level plus-bike shredding market. Nicely spec'd for its $999 price tag, the Komodo features Shimano Deore 2x10 and hydraulic disc brakes with a SR Suntour coil spring fork, WTB tubeless ready rims, and nice upgrades such as through axles and an internally routed channel for a dropper post. The Komodo is a lot of fun in a little(ish) package.
